OUR STORY
The current owners fell in love with Limewood Lodge in 2019 as an active life winter retreat for them and their children. After two years of extensive overhaul both outdoors and indoors Limewood Lodge shines as it welcomes guests today. They have a deep passion for farm stays which begun in South Africa after visit the beautiful Babylonstoren and Boschendal farms in Franschhoek.
Limewood Lodge is an Cape Dutch Manor, which is the typical Afrikaan style of a farm house equivalent to what a traditional finca is in Spain. The owners who live between Mallorca and Cape Town draw and mix energy from each one and give ideas to the other over the years.
A PLACE FOR YOUR SOUL
When guests arrive, they will be given a guided walk around the garden and the house. The owners like to create areas, spaces and or events in and around the house that can bring different moods. Food and socialising is essential to the owners and there are several places large and sometimes small that are used for only two people with coffee and a newspaper embedded in the lush garden. Or a big presence round table for big gatherings. One area for Braai or wood oven pizzas. Social fun and games is also at the centre of the house with pool area, jacuzzi area and gardens for soccer or croquet or boule games often combined with pre dinner drinks.
